Composing the Team
As the team embarks on a study of kinalas, the research team made a quick background check about the topic KINALAS of NAGA. At the beginning of the research, the team was divided in two: the technical staff and the field and write-up staff. Ma. Christine Joyce M. De Vera (IV-Sundervallii), Robert Louie N. Beriña (IV-Swazirock), and Madel A. Alacar (IV-Viperidae) were in-charge of the blog design and layouts, frames, photo, and video editing and were forced to stare at the monitor for hours. On the other hand, Allen Roi M. Cledera, Janica M. Intia, and Edmaren F. Padua (all from IV-Sundervallii) were given pens, pads of paper and were assigned for the write-ups while the team leader, Vernon A. Carandang, collaborated with the teacher-coaches Ms. Joretze Carandang, Ms. Nelia Hernadez, and Ms. Catherine Q. Ramos in supervising the group and its progress.
Conceptualizing the Blog Design
After the research team was structured, the group immediately began conceptualizing about the project's time frame, schedule of activities, the look of the blog and the feel of the photos and videos. Furthermore, the blog designs and layouts were also planned. The team decided that the blog should have a vintage and retro look to have a unique facade. The group has already decided on everything but a title:p
Search: Kinalas
After conceptualizing the blog design, the group dedicated a day for research about the topic, Kinalas.
Being in the modern world, the team made use of the internet to search for needed information. The group went from a blog to a site then to another blog just to find more facts. The team also thought of inquiring from a few locals to get a more in-depth perspective at the topic.
Following the inquiries, the team began the journey to different Kinalas establishments across the city.
A Visit to a Nutritionist
Done with the research, the team, while kinalasan-hopping, realized that since the topic was a noodle dish, it has to have its own nutritional content.  Inspired with that idea, a visit to a nutritionist was scheduled.
That was easier said than done, though, as finding a nutritionist was one of the trickiest parts of the project. Several rejected phone calls, a few cancelled shopping sessions, and interviews rescheduled later, till finally, the team found the lady for the job.
The team, having had their interests finally entertained, then proceeded enthusiastically with the interview with nutritionist, Ms. Raquel B. Buere. The team efficiently jotted down notes and figures and successfully took the video clearly and quality-wise.
Interviews with Folks
An interview is a conversation between two or more people (the interviewer and the interviewee) where questions are asked by the interviewer to obtain information from the interviewee, in the team's case, we needed information about the topic Kinalas. So then, we  decided to have interviews with people who can help in gathering facts about the topic.
An interview with Mr. Edwin Rey, owner of the famous Kinalas Twin in Dayangdang gave the team an overview about Kinalas and how he properly manages his kinalasan.
Though busy with projects for the improvement of Naga City, Mayor John G. Bongat, the newly-elected mayor of the City of Naga, granted the team an interview about Kinalas and the proposed Kinalas Festival. With just one question, Mr. Bongat was able to explain to us kinalas and why he wanted to initiate a festival for the local food kinalas.
Equipped with enough data, the team proceeded in titivating the blog.
Painstaking Editing
One of, if not the most, challenging parts of the project was putting into writing the things the team has undertaken. The writers had to come up with the appropriate words as to emphasize the ideas properly and deliver the message clearly. Thankfully, the teacher-coaches were very helpful in the editing of the write-ups to make it more appropriate and correct for the blog.
As for the photos and videos, the team decided to make use of photo and video-editing software. For the photos, Madel Alacar used Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Lightroom CS3 to give life to the typical but professionally (almost) taken photos by Vernon Carandang. On the other hand, for the videos, ProShow, ULead, Windows MovieMaker and Adobe After Effects were used to give the clips a more constructive presentation. But keep in mind that Ma. Christine Joyce M. De Vera and Robert Louie N. Beriña exploited their hands and talents as well, for the improvement of the videos.
