       The City of Naga is a city in the Philippines, located in the Bicol Region, a peninsula on the southeastern most tip of the island of Luzon, 377 kilometers southeast of Manila, the nation's capital, and about 380 kilometers northeast of Cebu City.
            It is the most densely-populated city in the region with137, 810 people in its streets and 26,317 households as of 2000, and is locally known as the "Heart of Bicol". It is the commercial, financial, educational, religious and cultural center of the Bicol region.  Residents of the City are called Nagueños. The City’s latitudinal and longitudinal distances are 13”38’N and 123”5’E respectively.
Naga City is popularly known in Bicol as the Maogmang Lugar and the home to the festivities of the Peñafrancia Fiesta held annually during the month of September. It is an urban business center for many establishments, from the small and simple vendor to multi-million companies.
         Aside from being a “Maogmang Lugar” (a happy place to live in), Naga City as part of the Bicol region is known for special delicacies especially spicy ones, some to mention are laing, pinangat and ginataan.  Another peculiar dish is the “Kinalas". A one meal dish that could either be served as a regular meal or snacks.
